"I've received word that Ajeet's men are gathering at the old windmill on the outskirts of the city," Leela said, her voice barely above a whisper as she leaned in close to Ravi. The two of them sat in a cramped, dimly lit tavern, the smell of stale ale and sweat hanging heavy in the air. Ravi's eyes narrowed. "We can't take them on head-on. We're outnumbered, even with Rohan's help." Leela's grip on his arm tightened. "That's not the only problem. Rohan was seen speaking with Ajeet's men earlier today. I'm starting to think he might be working against us." Ravi's expression turned grim. "We can't trust him yet. Not until he proves himself." Guru Kavitha, who sat across from them, her eyes fixed on the two, spoke up. "Rohan's loyalty is not to be questioned, Leela. He has his own reasons for helping you, just as you have yours." Leela's eyes flashed with anger. "You don't understand, Guru. Rohan's been acting strange ever since we met him. He's always talking about some ancient text or another, like it holds some secret key to our victory. I think he's hiding something from us." Kavitha's expression was unreadable, but a hint of curiosity danced in her eyes. "I see. And what do you think this 'ancient text' might be, Leela?" Rohan stormed into the tavern, his face red with anger. "What is going on here? I could swear I heard my name being spoken in question." Ravi's voice remained calm. "Just discussing strategy, Rohan. What brings you here so suddenly?" Rohan's eyes scanned the room before landing on Leela. "I've found something. A text that talks about a forbidden technique, one that could give us the upper hand against Ajeet and his men." Leela's eyes widened in surprise. "What technique?" Rohan hesitated before pulling out a tattered scroll. "It's called the...the 'Mahamudra' technique. It's said to grant the user immense power, but at a terrible cost." Kavitha's eyes snapped to the scroll. "The Mahamudra? I've heard of it, but I never thought it was more than just a myth." Rohan's face twisted with anger. "You know about it? Why didn't you tell us?" Kavitha's expression turned cold. "I didn't think it was relevant. Besides, the Mahamudra is a risk I'm not willing to take. We can't afford to lose ourselves to its power." Leela's eyes locked onto Ravi's, her gaze filled with a mix of determination and fear. "We have no choice. We have to try it. We can't take on Ajeet and his men head-on." Ravi's jaw clenched, his mind racing with the risks and consequences. "I agree with Leela. We have to try it. But we have to be careful. We can't let our ambition consume us." As they discussed the Mahamudra technique, a sudden commotion erupted outside, followed by a loud shout. "Ajeet's men! They're surrounding the tavern!" The patrons of the tavern scrambled to their feet, panic spreading like wildfire. Ravi, Leela, and Rohan exchanged a desperate glance. Their plan had just been ruined, and their only hope for survival now lay in the forbidden Mahamudra technique. The tavern doors burst open, and Ajeet's men flooded in, their eyes fixed on the small group of cultivators. Ravi knew they had to act fast, or risk being surrounded and captured. "We have to go," he said, his voice firm. "Now." Leela nodded, her eyes flashing with determination. "We have the Mahamudra technique. Let's use it." But as they turned to make their escape, a traitorous smile crept onto Rohan's face, and Ravi's heart sank with a terrible suspicion...
